So something just happened, I accidentally splashed water on my phone and right now it's in a bucket full of rice. It's nothing major, just that the speaker sounded a lil bit weird so I try leaving it in the bucket of rice for a while. Let's see what's gonna happen later. And I've a couple of hours before my class, so I thought of blogging about my last trip to The Netherlands (mostly just north- and south Holland) :D
We have Thursday - Sunday off so it was a long weekend. Fara came up with a last minute plan and then suddenly six of us (me, fara, ujang, serk, and two junior girls ecah and izanni) were on our way to Holland ! It was so last minute that we booked our hotel just the night before our trip ! Hahah.
We stayed in Almere in the province of Flevoland, located around 30 minutes from Amsterdam. For quite a cheap price the place is comfortable and it's not strict as we stayed more than 2 persons in one room!
Our first day was mainly spent in Keukenhof, the tulip heaven. I think we spent around 5 hours there. I just had to stop at almost every flower and take thousand of pics of every flower. They were just so beautiful and I feel so blessed to witness such beauty. And we even went to the Tulip Field ! ting ting ting ting *insert swarm coin sound here*
The next days we went to Giethoorn to 'drive' the boat. It was recommended by a friend and we got excited and wanted the exact big red boat. And then our excitement just went down the drain the minute we (not me) had to drive the boat. It wasn't easy! And everyone tried driving it, except me ! Heck, I can't even drive a car properly. And I'm the very lemah semangat type. In the middle on the tasik, without any life jackets, I wouldn't wanna risk my friends' lives. Hah hah.
Made a quick stop at Den Haag at night. Couldn't really see anything, but the soothing sound of the waves crashing the beach and the chilly breeze were really relaxing.
And then we also went to Zannse Schans, the place with wooden windmills and watched the sunset there. It's a nice place, but it's nothing compared to Keukenhof. Hahah. We didn't get to spend enough time at Amsterdam itself because the attractions are quite a distant from it. That's quite a bummer because Amsterdam is just really beautiful with it's old architecture. I definitely need to go again ! I just wanna stay in Amsterdam, enjoy the busy streets, chill at the hipster cafes, enter bookstores and people-watching. Oh, I forgot to mention Dutch guys are so good looking please?! There's just something about them ! Their neck's so panjang, beautiful eyes and hair, and their style are so on point! Gaahh. I don't get to see those kind of guys in Germany, not in Deggendorf at least..
All in all, it was a great trip. But I feel like I'm quite the spoiler because I'm such introvert and was too passive during the whole trip. And I think I made people uncomfortable with my presence because of my passiveness :( Actually honestly I am really shy when there's more people, especially with the ones I just met. I don't mingle too easily with people. And probably because it's also my first roadtrip with ramai-ramai. And I obviously need to work on my social skills, that's for sure! Need to loosen up/let loose a lil bit. I can only show my true color to my family and the closest of close friends. That's just how it is. And when there's more people, I'd automatically turn mute, and maybe even deaf. Hahaha.
Okay i guess that's all about my trip. Here's some pictures !
Till next time !
Love, Zully.
